NEW High‑Temperature gPIMS^® Sensors

We’re pleased to introduce the latest addition to our monitoring range: the gPIMS^® HT Sensor Rings, engineered for long‑term, high‑temperature pipeline monitoring.

These environmentally robust sensors are designed for straightforward bonding to the pipe surface. Once installed and sealed, they can be left in place for long‑term use.

This high‑temperature variant is ideal for applications such as process piping and can be installed under insulation for improved efficiency. An intrinsically safe version is also available for use in hazardous environments.

This case study demonstrates the value of gPIMS^® Area Monitoring for the proactive integrity management of jetty pipelines.

An alarm was triggered by the GUL Monitoring Studio, alerting our client to possible active corrosion in an inaccessible pipe section beneath the jetty structure. A prompt follow‑up inspection confirmed external corrosion at the predicted location—at an early stage, before corrosion allowances were exceeded.

The issue was mitigated through timely application of a new marine coating, preventing potential impact and avoiding throughput restrictions at the refinery. Monitoring ensured continued safe and efficient transfer of product.
