GULT Qualification & Certification Scheme Updated
GUL is introducing an update to the GULT Qualification and Certification Scheme, effective 1 April 2026.
The revised scheme aligns with ISO 9712:2021 — Non‑destructive testing: Qualification and certification of NDT personnel, reinforcing consistency, transparency, and technical robustness across certification activities.
The update introduces revised industrial experience requirements, expanded qualification examinations, and a certificate validity period extended to five years.
The updated framework also clarifies the processes for certificate renewal and recertification, supporting a structured approach to maintaining inspector competence.
- All currently valid certifications remain recognised and fully supported.
Renewals and recertifications from 1 April 2026 onwards will be assessed under the updated scheme.
