Jetty Line Monitoring

This case study demonstrates the value of gPIMS^® Area Monitoring for the proactive integrity management of jetty pipelines.

An alarm was triggered by the GUL Monitoring Studio, alerting our client to possible active corrosion in an inaccessible pipe section beneath the jetty structure. A prompt follow‑up inspection confirmed external corrosion at the predicted location—at an early stage, before corrosion allowances were exceeded.

The issue was mitigated through timely application of a new marine coating, preventing potential impact and avoiding throughput restrictions at the refinery. Monitoring ensured continued safe and efficient transfer of product.
