Guided Wave Innovation at the JSNDI Research Meeting
Dr David Alleyne' presentation at the JSNDI Research Meeting
Dr David Alleyne was invited to talk at the Japanese Society for Non‑Destructive Inspection - JSNDI Research Meeting, organised by Profesor Takahiro Hayashi of Kyoto University. The meeting, which took place in Tokyo on March 29th, was very well attended, and gave the NDT researchers and technicians in attendance a chance to exchange ideas and concerns. Dr Alleyne's presentation on the "Innovation of guided wave testing and monitoring over long and short ranges" introduced the audience to Guided Wave Technology breakthroughs achieved by GUL over 19 years of research and development, as well as to the state‑of‑the‑art systems GUL currently manufactures. GUL's newest development, the QSR®, generated a lot of enquiries, with significant interest in how this innovative guided wave quantitative testing methodology can complement the results obtained with guided wave screening equipment. GUL will continue to participate in this event, and ones like it, to strengthen ties with researchers and practitioners of the Japanese Advanced NDT community.
