Eli Leinov, PhD


Dr Eli Leinov

Eli joined GUL in 2018 as the Manager of Training and a Senior Development Engineer. Eli’s background is in applied research; before joining GUL he served five years as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at the NDE Group, department of Mechanical Engineering at Imperial College London, where he worked on an EPSRC-funded research on Guided Wave Testing of buried and embedded pipes, and gained experience as a consultant on many other advanced guided wave applications. Prior to the NDE group, Eli held a Post-Doctoral Research Associate position for two years at the Smart Wells group, the department of Earth Science & Engineering at Imperial College London, where he worked on spontaneous electrical potentials in subsurface geophysical monitoring.

Eli holds a PhD, MSc and BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Ben-Gurion University, Israel. His PhD research was in the field of hydrodynamic instabilities (Richtmyer-Meshkov instability).

Eli enjoys hiking, loves music and nature and is a keen chess player.
